After 150 years of Balakot tragedy, the people’s Islamic force now named as Hefazat-e-Islam has faced another defeat!
In both incidents, they have committed fatal mistakes.
In the Jihad Movement they relied on frontier tribal leaders but actually these barbarian tribe-lords were never trust worthy. On the other hand, Syed Ahmad Shaheed’s Islamic army confronted with the Sheikhs though the key anti-Islamic force was the British colonist invaders.
Today, in Bangladesh situation, in the recent times, they have identified themselves with the vested political forces like BNP and BJI which is the major of Awami crackdown on them, I think.
Instead, they should have focused on and confined in attacking the atheist-secular socio-cultural forces until they consistently emerge as a systematic political force.
In that situation, BNP/Jamaat would have had that sort of benefit from Hefazat-e-Islam as Awami league has got benefit from sector commander’s forum.
Hefazat has been slaughtered as the escape goat of the power greed of BNP and party interest of BJI!!!
The nation has lost, very perhaps, a top most guardian of Islamic affairs in Bangladesh as was Mawlana Ubaidul Haq, late khatib of Baitul Mukarrom.

Umme Kawsar: আহমদ শফীর দল এমন কোন সন্ত্রাসী কাজ করে নাই যে তাদের এমন নির্মম মৃত্যুর দিকে ঠেলে দেয়া হয়েছে। তারা প্রতিবাদ করেছে; করার দরকার ছিল অনেক আগেই। যদি করত তাইলে এমন যালিমেরা ক্ষমতায় গিয়ে তাদের হত্যা করার সাহস পেত না। আমরা কেউ নিজ নিজ জায়গা থেকে দায়িত্ব পালন করি না। কেউ নাড়া দেয়ার উদ্যোগ নিলে তাদের উদ্যোগ সহ্য করতেও পারি না। আমাদের অবস্থা কোনোদিন ভালো হবে না এমন মানসিকতার জন্য। আর যে রক্ত ঢেলেছে হেফাজত, সেটাও ইনশাআল্লাহ বৃথা যাবে না, সময় প্রমাণ করবে। নিজেরা কাজ করতে পারি না, অন্য কেউ ভুল করলে সমালোচনায় মুখর আমরা তো কারো উপকার করতে পারব না।
মোহাম্মদ মোজাম্মেল হক: নীতিগত দিক থেকে ভুল করা হলো আদর্শিক বিভ্রান্তি, আর কর্মকৌশলগত ভুল হলো শুধুই ভুল। হেফাজতের ভুল হলো দ্বিতীয় প্রকারের ভুল। যদিও সেসব ভুল বড় ধরনের পরিণতি বয়ে এনেছে। আশা করি এই দুই প্রকারের ভুল নিয়ে স্ট্যাটাসটিকে ভুল বুঝবেন না। ভুলকে ভুল না বলাই হলো সবচেয়ে বড় ভুল।
Umme Kawsar: ভুলগুলো চিহ্নিত করার অনেক সময় পাওয়া যাবে ভাই। এখনি সে সময় নয়। চারিদিকে ত্রাস, সন্ত্রাস, অন্যায় হত্যাযজ্ঞ চলছেই। এই ভুল ধরাকে কুচক্রী মহল কাজে লাগিয়ে আবার হেফাজতের উপর অন্যায়ভাবে চড়াও হবে। আর এ অবস্থায় এমন নিরীহ মানুষের মৃত্যু দেখতে ভালো লাগে না। সন্ত্রাসীরা লক্ষ অন্যায় করে ছাড়া পেয়ে যাচ্ছে, তাদের তো কোনো ব্যবস্থা নেয়া যাচ্ছে না। এ তো কম যাতনার ব্যাপার না। এই মৃত্যুগুলো দেহে মস্তিষ্কে, দেহে ব্যথা ছাড়া আর কিছু অনুভুত হয় না।

Shamimuddin Khan: The motive of BNP and Jamaat is not same rather the ultimate goal of Jamaat and Hefazat is unique and uniform – to establish the rules of Quran and Sunnah through Jihad. So far, my study goes, Jamaat did not consider any conspiracy, selfishness, and short-cut path in its politics for winning from its inception rather it follows consistent policy. This is why millions of Muslims educated youth came forward to help Jamaat to establish Islam in the country. So, your comment is not appropriate for Jamaat. I strongly believe that 6th May bloodshed is one step forward and it will be considered as milestone for establishing Islam in the country and this tragic history will eliminate Awami politics from the country in the long run.
মোহাম্মদ মোজাম্মেল হক: প্রথমত, ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের স্বাধীনতার সময়কালের মতো অত্যন্ত নাজুক সময়ে পাকিস্তান আন্দোলনে প্রত্যক্ষভাবে অংশগ্রহণ না করা, বাংলাদেশ সৃষ্টিতে শেষ পর্যন্তও বিরোধিতা অব্যাহত রাখা, বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতার বিরোধিতার প্রেক্ষাপট ও বৃত্তান্ত নিয়ে রাখঢাক নীতি বজায় রাখা, আওয়ামী লীগের সাথে আন্দোলনের ঐক্য করে সমমনা জাতীয়তাবাদীদের সাথে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতায় ৩০০ আসনে নির্বাচন করা, জরুরি সরকারের সময়ে স্বীয় দলীয় আমীরকে গ্রেফতারের পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বিএনপির চেয়ারপারসনকে গ্রেফতারের প্রতিবাদে কোনো বিবৃতি প্রদান না করা, সাজানো আওয়ামী নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য বিএনপিকে বাধ্য করা – এ রকম অনেক জাতীয় ঘটনা বা ইস্যুর কথা বলা যাবে, যাতে জামায়াতের ভূমিকাকে জনগণ কন্সিসটেন্ট মনে না করার যথেষ্ট কারণ আছে।
দ্বিতীয়ত, জামায়াতের সাংগঠনিক বিস্তৃতির কারণ ইসলাম, জামায়াতে ইসলাম নয়। এ দেশে ইসলাম নিয়ে যারাই নামবে তাদেরই সংখ্যাবৃদ্ধি ঘটবে। শিক্ষিত তরুণদের ইসলামের প্রতি যে ঝোঁক তা এক অর্থে পরিবার, সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্রের ব্যাপক অনৈসলামীকরণের প্রতিক্রিয়া। তাছাড়া সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি কোনো আদর্শবাদী দলের সঠিকত্বের মাপকাঠি বা দলীল হতে পারে না। তাবলীগের সংখ্যাবৃদ্ধির হার, সম্ভবত জামায়াতের চেয়ে কম নয়। অথচ, তাবলীগ আর জামায়াত দুই ধরনের ইসলাম প্রচার করে।
তৃতীয়ত, হেফাজতের ব্লাডশেডের যত ফজিলতই পরবর্তীতে পাওয়া যাক না কেন, যে কৌশলগত ভুল বা অবহেলার জন্য এটি হলো, সেই দায় হতে সংশ্লিষ্টরা আদৌ মুক্ত হতে পারবে না। আল্লাহ তায়ালা কোনো ভুল বা অপরাধকে মাফ করে দিয়ে তাকে বরকত দিয়ে ঢেকে দিয়েছেন বা দিতে পারেন বা দিবেন। তাই বলে সেই ভুল করার বিষয়টি আল্টিমেইটলি উহ্য বা লেজিটেমেইট হতে পারে না।
চতুর্থত, এ দেশে আওয়ামী লীগকে থাকতে হবে। বর্তমানের নায়কের ভূমিকায় না হলেও ভিলেন হয়ে হলেও। এ দেশ থেকে আওয়ামী লীগ কখনো এলিমিনেইট হবে না। হওয়াটা বা করাটা উচিতও হবে না।
Mizan Rahman: Hefazat were defeated only in one night because they were unprepared for such a terrible tragedy. Besides they were unskilled and emotional more than their capacity.

Mizan Rahman: Actually, they weren’t practical about how to continue a movement. They should have deeply thought before going into something dirty and nasty like politics.
Imam Hasan Reza: Salam Mozammel bhai, I really appreciate your writing on this issue, while many are maintaining a safe distance on this. Well, to me, Hefazat-e-Islam got all out support from general people but politicians. Yes, BNP, BJI or other so-called pan Islamic or anti-Indian power lover politicians show a hypocrite back side to them. Obviously, we got another very lesson that you need to know ABC of Cricket if you want to compete one in the cricket field!!! And, one must have to take moderate role (মধ্যমপন্থা) in action in every aspect, which is the teachings of Islam. Hefazat-e-Islam will get reward from Allah SWT; however, they must learn from the episode that, claiming a non-political wing very strongly is not a spirit of Islam. If the trend wins there will be more chaos in the future of Islamic world or movement. Rather, I think, this is a process to get lesson for all Islamic wing including Hefazat-e-Islam, BJI and many that they have to unite for the sake of Islam, and they have to sacrifice their very silly ego for the sake of Islam. Who will win, is not a very question, but how Islam will win is a big question to think and to act… Waassalam.
মোহাম্মদ মোজাম্মেল হক: well, Linkon vai, we have to uphold Islam first and foremost, not Hefazat-e-Islam or Jamaat-e-Islam. These are some necessary local organizations, not the sole embodiment of global Islam.
